I'm sure everyone knows how expensive laundry detergent is getting, so I thought I would let you in on this wonderful recipe for making your own. It is so easy and only takes about 10 minutes to make. Believe me you have the time, just think about how long you spend in the store checking the prices and smelling all the detergents!!!
Here's what you need: Borax, Washing soda, Baking soda, and any type of bar soap. I find that ivory soap works the best, but you can use any kind.
Ingredients:
1 cup of borax
1 cup of washing soda (this can be found in the laundry detergent isle)
1 cup of baking soda
1 bar of shredded soap (use a cheese shredder to shred your soap)
Directions:
Mix all ingredients into a container that has a lid, this provides great storage for it. Now all you have to do is add 2 tablespoons of your laundry detergent to every large load of laundry. That's it, it's so easy, and it saves you tons of money!!!
